(Zukhuruf) 43 : 45
وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ
And you ask to those whom We sent from Our Messengers before you: Had We made deities to be served besides the Impartial?
In the night of “Isra’ and Mihraj” after meeting with Allah at the Paradise as explained in verse 17: 1, Messenger Muhammad was descended to Baithul Mukhaddis, and there he performed ‘Swalath’ leading to all Messengers. After ‘Swalath’ he sat facing the Messengers and asked them as commanded through the verse: “Had We made deities to be served besides the Impartial?” As explained in verses 21: 24-25, the Book revealed to all 313 Messengers is Adhikr-the Truth and Proof, and It is revealed in order to teach the mankind that there is no Deity to be served besides Allah.
